Hannah Claire Baker is a New York & Los Angeles-based writer, director, and photographer.

Born in Amsterdam and raised in New York, she attended Wesleyan University’s film studies program before moving to Los Angeles to work as a writer & director’s assistant to Academy Award winning/nominated filmmakers like Chivo Lubezki, Ava DuVernay, and Drew Goddard. Her first feature script was commissioned by Star Thrower (Fair Play, King Richard, The Post) & she was the recipient of the 2019 Hedgebrook Screenwriting Residency. She is also the writer of the film analysis Substack "Never Cursed."

As a director and photographer, Hannah has worked with artists Mitski, Ashe, Sasami, Vagabon, Charly Bliss, and more. Her music videos and photography have been featured by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, VH1, Teen Vogue, Spotify, Kodak, Rolling Stone, Billboard, and more. 

In podcasting, she produced and edited Deadline's Strike Talk podcast hosted by Billy Ray, and story edited HBO's companion podcast for White House Plumbers.
